Forgot your password? Resetting it takes about a minute.
How do I reset my password?
- Go to storyfolder.com/signin.
- Click Forgot password?.
- Enter your email address and click Send reset link.
- Check your inbox for an email from StoryFolder.
- Click the reset link in the email. It opens a page where you can set a new password.
- Type your new password twice and click Reset.
- You're signed in with the new password immediately.
How long is the reset link valid?
Four hours. After that, request a new one.
I didn't get the email — what now?
- Check your spam or promotions folder.
- Make sure you used the email on your StoryFolder account.
- If you have multiple accounts, you may have requested a reset for the wrong one.
- Allow a couple of minutes — corporate email filters can delay automated mail.
If you've waited and still don't see it, contact support.
What makes a strong password?
We don't enforce specific complexity rules, but please use a strong password:
- At least 12 characters.
- A mix of letters, numbers, and symbols.
- Unique to StoryFolder — don't reuse it from another site.
- Stored in a password manager.
If you'd rather skip passwords entirely, use a sign-in link to log in.
Can I reset my password from inside the desktop app?
The reset flow happens in your web browser. The desktop app links you to the right page automatically — just click Forgot password? on the sign-in screen.
I reset my password — will my desktop activation still work?
Yes. Resetting your password doesn't sign you out of any active machines. If you want to also kick a particular machine, do it from Activated machines.
