Monthly vs yearly
Every paid plan offers a monthly and a yearly option. Yearly saves you roughly 15% compared to paying month by month.
How do I pick a billing interval?
When you subscribe at storyfolder.com/pricing, use the Yearly / Monthly toggle at the top of the plan grid before choosing your plan.
When changing plans from your account, you'll see the interval choice as part of the change flow.
Should I pay yearly?
Yes, if:
- You know you'll use StoryFolder for a year or more.
- You'd rather not think about billing every month.
- The ~15% discount is meaningful to you.
Stick with monthly, if:
- You're not sure yet — Pay monthly while you decide.
- You're between projects and may pause your subscription.
- Cash flow is tight and you'd rather smooth payments.
How do I switch from monthly to yearly (or vice versa)?
- Sign in at storyfolder.com/account.
- Open Subscription.
- Click Change plan.
- On the change page, toggle between monthly and yearly.
- Pick your plan and confirm.
The change is prorated. Monthly → yearly is charged at the new rate immediately, with credit for unused time. Yearly → monthly takes effect at the end of your current paid year, so you get the full value of the year you already paid for.
What if I cancel my yearly plan early?
You get the full year of features you paid for, even if you cancel. The subscription stops auto-renewing — see Cancel or pause.
We don't offer pro-rated cash refunds for yearly cancellations, but the value you paid for is preserved until the renewal date.
Will my discounted price stay the same on renewal?
If you signed up under a coupon or promotional pricing, the discounted rate locks in for the duration of your current subscription. On the next renewal, the rate you pay is determined by current pricing and any active discount on file — your account page is the source of truth.
