Favorites & hidden shots
When you're scanning a long storyboard, you don't always want to see everything. Favorites and Hidden are two simple flags that help you focus.
How do I favorite a shot?
- Hover the shot and click the ♥ heart icon that appears, or
- Click the shot to select it and click the ♥ in the right-side notes panel header.
The heart turns solid to indicate it's favorited.
How do I see only my favorites?
Click the ♥ Favorites toggle in the editor header. The storyboard filters to show only favorited shots. Click again to show everything.
How do I hide a shot?
- Select the shot.
- Click the 👁 eye icon in the notes panel header.
The shot disappears from the storyboard view.
How do I bring hidden shots back?
Click the 👁 Hidden toggle in the editor header — it's the second-to-last icon. When the toggle is on, hidden shots show up again (faded). Press H as a shortcut.
To un-hide a shot, select it again and click the eye icon to clear the flag.
What's the difference between favorites and hidden?
- Favorites are positive — they let you pull a curated list of the shots you care about.
- Hidden is negative — it removes shots from your default view so they don't distract you (e.g. title cards, end credits, transitional shots).
Do favorites and hidden affect exports?
By default:
- Hidden shots are excluded from exports.
- Favorites are exported as normal — no filtering applied — but a shareable "favorites only" workflow is on the roadmap.
If you want to export only your favorites, turn on the Favorites filter before opening Export, then pick the formats you want. The export reflects whatever's currently visible.
Do favorites and hidden carry over to share links?
Yes. The state when you publish is what viewers see. Hidden shots stay hidden on the shared page; favorites are highlighted.
