Every paid plan starts with a 14-day free trial, so you can fully experience Pro or Business features before committing.
How do I start a free trial?
- Go to storyfolder.com/pricing.
- Pick the plan you want to try.
- Click Start free trial.
- Enter your billing details on the Stripe-hosted checkout page.
- Confirm. You're now on a trial.
You won't be charged during the trial. We use the card on file to verify the account, but no money moves until the trial ends.
Why do you need my card if it's free?
Two reasons:
- It makes the transition to paid seamless — there's no friction at the end of the trial if you decide to stay.
- It reduces abuse so we can keep generous free-trial terms.
Can I cancel before being charged?
Yes. You can cancel any time during the 14 days. As long as you cancel before the trial ends, you won't be charged at all. See Cancel or pause.
What happens when the trial ends?
If you haven't cancelled, your subscription becomes paid on the 15th day at the rate you signed up for. You can still cancel or downgrade at any point after that.
Will I get a reminder before being charged?
Yes — we send an email reminder a few days before the trial ends.
Do I get all the features during a trial?
Yes. A trial of Pro gives you the same features a paid Pro plan does. Same for Business.
Can I trial a plan more than once?
Trials are per-account. If you've already trialed Pro on the same account, you typically can't trial it again. Contact support if you have a specific situation.
Can I trial Business if I'm already a Pro subscriber?
If you want to evaluate Business features, contact support — we can often help you test the differences without restarting your subscription.
