Collections
A collection holds shots, chosen by hand, from any number of videos. Folders file videos; a collection is the pile on the desk — the selects, the delivery set, the ones you keep coming back to.
Collections are free on every plan.
How do I make one?
- Select shots — in the editor, or in the library.
- In the inspector, choose Add to collection.
- Pick an existing collection, or choose New collection… and name it.
The collection appears in the rail under Collections, with its shot count beside it. You can add to it from as many videos as you like.
Does a collection change on its own?
No, and that's the point of it. Once a shot is in a collection it stays there, whatever happens to its metadata afterwards. If you want a set that re-answers itself as the data moves, that's a quick filter instead.
Use a collection when the set has to stop moving — a delivery list that keeps changing because somebody edited a field is not a delivery list.
Can I search inside a collection?
Yes. An open collection has its own search box and filter bar, so a big selects pile is still something you can type into. If nothing matches, the collection tells you so and offers Clear search & filters rather than looking empty.
How do I rename or delete a collection?
Double-click its name in the rail to rename it in place; right-click for the rest. Deleting asks first, and it never deletes a video — only the collection that pointed at those shots.
Can I link to a collection?
Yes, each one has its own address inside the app.
